Support Black Businesses! It is critical. They are here to help Black communities throughout New York City. Today I got the pleasure to visit Mikey Likes It Ice Cream Shop. It is a Black Owned Ice Cream Shop in the Lower East Side. This shop has offered a variety of flavors that I have never seen before. This is great people doing great things.

I must say, the customer service was impeccable. The staff was very charismatic, delightful and warm. The free samples were a plus. The decor was very creative mixed with a classic feel. The wall was decorated with photo art of iconic celebrities ranging from comedy to music to sports. The portions of ice cream were perfect. It was interesting to know that the mint ice cream is made from real pressed mint leaves and that is why the color is not green but instead it's authentic color, white. Also, everything is homemade.

My goal is to bring more of an awareness to Black Owned Businesses. Supporting in Black Businesses helps ALL communities tremendously. We need more wealth circulating in the Black community and we welcome everyone to make a contribution. It is important to be conscious of where your money goes and what your dollar is actually supporting.
